Colorado Mountain Wedding
Set just outside Telluride, Colorado, this celebration took place on a private stretch of land that began as a blank canvas and was thoughtfully transformed into a fully realized wedding environment. Every element was intentionally built from the ground up, allowing the setting to feel immersive while maintaining the comfort and ease of a luxury experience.
For the bride and groom, the day began in a custom glamping tent created for the wedding party to get ready in. Nearby, additional structures took shape: a sailcloth reception tent, a dedicated catering tent, and a ceremony site in the nearby meadow. Behind the scenes, essential infrastructures included power, water, and luxury restrooms to ensure guests could enjoy the remote setting without sacrificing comfort.
The ceremony itself felt whimsical and relaxed, set just a short walk from the reception space. After vows were exchanged, a guitarist led guests toward cocktail hour, turning the transition into part of the experience. As he played playful, familiar tunes like “Tequila” and “Guitar Boogie,” guests followed along, smiling and laughing as the celebration naturally unfolded.
Cocktail hour centered around connection and views. Guests gathered near an eight-foot grazing table layered with local cheeses, fruits, and seasonal bites, while sipping craft cocktails and thoughtfully made mocktails served from a redesigned vintage camper. The atmosphere was unhurried, social, and full of movement.
As evening approached, guests made their way under the sailcloth tent for dinner. The design reflected the couple’s playful spirit, with sweeping greenery and colorful bunting overhead while bright pops of blue, orange, and yellow were woven through florals and linens below. The effect was joyful without feeling overdone so the natural surroundings were still the main focus.
Dinner was served buffet-style, inspired by the region and the season. Local beef, summer corn, and ripe Palisade, Colorado peaches anchored the menu, celebrating place through food in a way that felt generous and communal.
The evening opened with a traditional hora dance that brought immediate energy to the dance floor, followed by hours of joyful movement, laughter, and connection. As the night came to a close, the dance floor filled with bubbles creating a lighthearted, celebratory ending that perfectly reflected the spirit of the day and the couple.
This destination mountain wedding was built with intention, and designed for experience over performance. The couple was looking for a mountain setting that all their 125 guests could enjoy without sacrificing comfort. A team of experienced vendors created a mountain wedding that will be remembered for many years to come.
