A young couple with a tight knit family envisioned a winter micro-wedding amongst the mountains. Ouray County in Colorado provided them with exactly that.
It was extremely important that Sophie's brother be apart of their wedding. He was on leave from the military starting mid December so the date was set and planning began. In order to capture the winter season without the traditional holiday decor, deep colors of burgundy and green were lightened with blush tones.
The ceremony would take place outdoors with Mount Sneffels as the backdrop - no matter the weather. Luckily, the snow did not fall at the ceremony site but rather dusted the peaks to create a spectacular setting.
After the ceremony guests enjoyed hot cider and hors d'oeuvres before heading indoors for a feast fit for royalty - beef wellingtons and traditional wedding cake.
Sweet moments were captured between family and close friends leaving everyone reaching for tissues.
But the night also included laughter and joy because after all, everyone near and dear to the couple's hearts were there to celebrate their union.
