Gigi & Wayne's Storm King Mountain Ranch Wedding in Colorado

Looking back on Gigi & Wayne’s wedding, one of the things that stays top of mind for me, aside from how amazing they are as a couple, is how not a detail was left undone. These two wanted personalization from start to finish and boy did it come through in the design big time!
The couple decided on Storm King Mountain Ranch for their wedding day which was just a blueprint when they signed the rental contract. Gigi and Wayne knew that this venue was going to be something special when it was complete and it really did live up to those expectations. Storm King Mountain Ranch is one of the best venues along Colorado’s Western Slope. It can accommodate over 250 guests for an indoor wedding and boasts beautiful views of the San Juan Mountains. They’ve loaded the venue with modern amenities, but have maintained the beautiful rustic quality hard to find outside of Colorado. The couple had a clear vision for the day which included modern elegance with bohemian vibes.
Gigi and Wayne’s vows were some of my favorites. They were both so emotional, but joyous and intentional. There were overwhelming tears of emotion and lots of sweet laughter. These two truly are passionately in love and made for each other!
Gigi and her daughter, Jojo, shared so many special moments on their wedding day and that alone was a tear-jerker for me, as a girl mom!
I loved working with the couple's palette of emerald green and a warm amber. The additional copper accents not only complimented the décor but landscape as well.
Signage also played a huge role in the day, from modern acrylic signage at the ceremony to custom neon signage at the reception. If their wedding was a brand, they nailed it!
I have a love-hate relationship with pampas grass but for Gigi and Wayne's wedding, it was ALL love. Their ceremony installation was incredible! "Neutral" took on a whole new meaning for me.
Everything about their reception was perfection! Dreamy fall colors, gorgeous natural textures, loads of light. Views for days. And, quite the dance party! What more could you need?! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Aside from the triangular “arch” with neon signage and lush flora accents, the cake display was one of my favorite elements! Choice is a great thing when it comes to foods and desserts, but when it’s pretty, it’s “icing on the cake!”⠀
