For Gabi and Aaron no amount of rain was going to dampen their dream wedding on the slopes at the Telluride Ski Resort overlooking the San Juan Mountains. The clouds were all around us making the bridesmaids fur coats cozy in the chill mountain air. Telluride Strings Duo played the most beautiful music that seemed to echo through the mountains as Gabi walked down the aisle.
They both got a bit emotional seeing each other across the clearing. But there they stood before their family and friends under a golden circular arch with stunning faux florals from Compass Rose Floral. You would never know that these eco-friendly florals were not the real deal. And with the rain they held up better than traditional florals would have.
One thing I love about fall weddings - the pops of golden aspen among the pines! It makes for the most gorgeous background in portraits.
The majestic Mountain Lodge Telluride was the setting for the couple's reception. The restaurant is very aptly named, The View, with a breathtaking view of the pool and mountains beyond. Dark linens and dark red florals were used to not only embrace the Fall season, but create a moody, modern vibe! Gold chargers and cut glass stemware perfected the look. Gabi changed into a 20’s era fringed dress for the reception and looked stunning as she and Aaron left it all on the dance floor. Those two can dance!
They had a signature cocktail named after their “dog of honor”, Gordo, featuring bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup and bitters. I love a signature cocktail - A great beverage experience is one of my recommendations for "splurge" - along with these two wedding vendors!
The night was closed with a spectacular sparkler exit and one last kiss with a dip!
